| Condition | Good - Conditions are ideal for a canoe or kayak. Boats typically will drag on fewer than one-quarter of riffles, if at all, and portages are unnecessary or rare. Normal float lengths can be attempted without a problem. |
Notes | The water level on this day was perfect with nearly constant flowing water, several haystack riffles, and perfect clarity. There were several difficult areas that turned out to be fairly technical. I was informed that this was not an easy river (like the others) and it wasn't as much fun as a "leisurely" float. We stopped and had two lunches, including chips, cookies, deer sausage, cheese sticks, potato salad, and, of course, rivercado. The obligatory selfie suffered from poor lighting, inadequate equipment, and uncooperative subjects. |
