| Condition | Good - Conditions are ideal for a canoe or kayak. Boats typically will drag on fewer than one-quarter of riffles, if at all, and portages are unnecessary or rare. Normal float lengths can be attempted without a problem. |
 Notes | After visiting Cave Spring again, we pushed downriver. Although we had dry ice to keep coolers cold, we were running low and stopped at Pulltite for more beer and ice (and ice cream bars!). We also stopped at several of the interesting springs near Pulltite Spring, including the main spring and cabin. The sandbar we found near Mill Hollow was perfect although small. Dinner was Brunswick stew, foil-steamed Brussels sprouts and mushrooms, and jalapeno cornbread. Breakfast the next morning was sausage / egg / cheese sandwiches on English muffins. Tom caught the one and only fish on this entire trip on this stretch. |
