Start | Cave Spring |
End | Pulltite |
Distance | 4.3 miles |
Crew | Bartlett, Renee Bartlett, Stephanie Edmond, Brian Van Someren, Tom |
Condition | Good - Conditions are ideal for a canoe or kayak. Boats typically will drag on fewer than one-quarter of riffles, if at all, and portages are unnecessary or rare. Normal float lengths can be attempted without a problem. |
Notes | We broke camp around 1230 hours after touring Cave Spring and getting photos. Overall, the loaded canoe was tricky to maneuver on the upper sections of the river where obstacles could be a little more challenging than further down. We stopped at Rockhouse Cave for photos. We arrived at Pulltite around 1700 hours after taking our time paddling downstream and stopping for a long lunch. Despite travelling on a week day, we were with other people much of the time. |
