| Condition | Poor - River is too low to float comfortably. Most or all riffles will drag or must be portaged and some obstacles (such as slick shelf rock) cause undue problems. Avoid the river at this stage for casual paddling trips. |
Notes | Tried to take advantage of the perfect weather and recent rains, but the water level was still much too low. Had to drag the kayak over pretty much every gravel bar to get upstream about 1 1/2 miles and fish the long slow pool located there. Great fishing was had, though, just sitting in the shade pulling in one after another 6-7 inch goggle eye and SMB. Got in the water at 15:00 and took out 18:40. |
