ConditionGood - Conditions are ideal for a canoe or kayak. Boats typically will drag on fewer than one-quarter of riffles, if at all, and portages are unnecessary or rare. Normal float lengths can be attempted without a problem.
Notes icon NotesThe water level was at the very cusp of being too low to float. This stretch was very technical, with several downed trees, narrow water, and difficult places to maneuver, even with a kayak. It is not recommended for a canoe or for inexperienced paddlers without the expectation of a lot of portages and upsets. The locals here mentioned Spring Creek (a tributary of Crane Creek) as being a good float with high water.
