| Condition | Good - Conditions are ideal for a canoe or kayak. Boats typically will drag on fewer than one-quarter of riffles, if at all, and portages are unnecessary or rare. Normal float lengths can be attempted without a problem. |
 Notes | Shoal Creek seems to switch back and forth between a clear, spring-fed Ozark river and a prairie ditch. The brush piles and log jams made for a moderately technical trip which would probably have been dangerous in high water. Railroad tracks are always nearby and trains are frequent. |
